Dome Observations 2017-2018

This twiki page is for organisation and data logging of obervations for use by post and undergrad students during 2017-2018.

Aims:

  • Training of undergraduates such that they could run an observation fully
  • Set of high quality colour images that involve full image calibration
  • Each make one measurement as well as taking images
  • New images for Physics Department
  • Possible gallery in new library to accompany telescope

Possible Targets

Widefield

  • Nebula timing based on previous exposures, but may be reduced to 20 mins due to higher altitude now
  • Note, lrgb filters are on lx200gps - takes ~30mins to 1hr to transfer
