  • It seems important to have a few points close together at the top incase you miss the middle when specifying where the centre of the scan should be.
  • But you also want more points closer together down the sides.

Version 3

  • single point in specified centre: then considering points only to the positive side for now (simply flip for others)
  • so 50 points + 1 for centre -> 25 either side:
  • step size 0.3um for 2 points
  • step size 0.7um for 10 points
  • step size 1.5um for 5 points
  • step size linearly increases for remaining 7 points from 2um to 10um
