For travel by taxi to/from the airport, pre-booking with a local company is much cheaper than taking a black cab from the taxi rank. Should be around £16 (T45) to £20 (T13).

Buses from Heathrow airport: trip takes 40-50 mins in good traffic and buses run about twice per hour. No. 71 serves terminal 5, 441 for terminals 1 & 3 (central bus station) and 5. Both stop directly outside RHUL.
There is a college bus service between Egham station and the RHUL campus. Tickets cost £1 and can be purchased from the driver. Alternatively, it's about a 20 minute walk.
