Newton cluster comes home

 The move was carried out by HPC experts Clustervision and everything went smoothly. Before it goes back to work processing LHC data, a software upgrade is planned.

The 'Newton' Grid cluster is a bespoke high-throughput data analysis cluster. It has 960kSI2k processing power (400 CPU cores) and 300TB storage. As part of LondonGrid, GridPP, EGEE and WLCG it is used by physicists worldwide to perform LHC data analysis.
