Errors

  • Take new data and try plotting rms vs average again

Mapping

  • Reducing $\alpha$ reduces $\gamma$ so related by constant $\alpha = \alpha_0 + \gamma$
  • guess $\alpha_0$ and L by measuring the spectrometer
  • Test it by plotting the function

Vega Plots

  • Find out at what wavelengths each of the spectral lines fall at.
  • stitch the plots together
  • Set the circle radius as constant found from the lamps
  • take out the skew in the gaussian as the value of parameter is small
  • have an instrumental gaussian so we can look at the Lorentz?
