Took 6 clear, 12 red, 12 green, 30 blue, 30 dark of top half of cluster. Second half looks more dense so shall take images of this part next time.

General Setup

  1. Open doors and check outside
  2. Take telescope covers off
  3. Turn on camera
  4. Start Maxim DL
  5. Camera connect
  6. Coolers -15
  7. Exposure 1s
Set up for observation
  1. Move dome top so telescope can align with Vega
  2. Align telescope with Vega by looking down telescope barrel
  3. Look through finder scope to check alignment (try not to touch telescope)
  4. Speed-5, cetre Vega within finder scope
  5. look for star in Maxim DL
  6. Set exposure to continuous, 0.1s exposure, 4x4 binning
  7. Speed 2, centre Vega in Maxim DL
  8. Unlock primary mirror to focus
  9. Sync telescope to Vega (object -> star -> named (find Vega) -> alpha lyrae, press and hold enter for 2 secs)
  10. Press and hold mode for 2s, get co-ordinates
  11. Check co-ords in Stellariumm
  12. Secret Boogert solution
  13. Focus on dimmer star then go back to Vega
  14. Look for a cluster in Stellarium - chose the double cluster
  15. Centred cluster double cluster
  16. Took 10s exposure, not saturated but close (no filer)
No filter - 60,000 max ADU brightest star (approximate)

Blue - 11,000

Red 30,000

Green 27,000
