  • object- solar system- venus Stellarium showed offset by about 2m
  • telescope was moved using Stellarium to HIP1602 with the same offset
  • Due to fast moving cloud cover dome was left for a time

  • On roof bright star was found and estimated at Alt/Az 160/40
  • From Stellarium was estimated to be Betelgeuse Alt/Az 161/44 RA/Dec 5h55m/7deg
  • telescope moved to Atlas-Pleoine
  • images taken with guide and non guide telescopes
  • non guide shows just those stars, using vertical line can see plate scale using pixel distance from graph view
  • guide shows other dimmer stars surrounding, image with stars details are below

  • images of Orion nebula were taken (for fun)
  • coolers off cameras disconnected
  • dome moved to North and shut

  • Images from ST8 and ST8300 taken with lens caps on to observe noise
  • dome doors opened and slewed to the South
  • Leave dome at 16:40

  • 40 sec exposure taken in ST8 - noise and dust rings observed
  • 10 sec exposure taken in ST8300 - noise and a few dust specks observed
  • Went on to roof to find a bright target star - none observed
  • telescope slewed to Venus for alignment

  • telescope was moved using Stellarium to HIP1602 with the same offset
  • Due to fast moving cloud cover dome was left for a time
