New Telescope Calibration

The realignment of the laser meant the telescope had to be repositioned and calibrated. The beam was observed Xm away from the laser, the distance to the new laser-wire IP. The second lens of the telescope has an actuator controlled by the lab movers.vi and was moved to scan the beam size on the camera (figure 1).

This shows that to make the larger axis 4o diameter equal 12mm, calculated to give the smallest focus at the IP, the second lens actuator should be set to 7mm. The beam profile for this setting is shown in figure 2.
