Calibration

all mover BPMs QM16FF up to QD2AFF (the last few ones in the evening shift), except for QD6FF.

Results Summary

  • Missing pulses were seen during 3 Hz operation but normally mostly at a consistent level during the calibration, ie. ±1 per calibration step. A fix has been made but not implemented for the SVD calibrations and partially for the other methods.
  • Limited repeat calibrations but stability appears larger than 1 % in scale and around 3 º in phase
  • Stability slightly better with conventional jitter subtraction despite shorter orbit file (~20 pulses) - to be investigated
  • bpmAllMoverCalibration_20121109_082819.dat.gz shows bad jitter subtraction due to one pulse badly measured by both S-band BPMs
  • From S-band BPMs, no significant stability is seen between start and end of November
