Beam arrival time detection
- Using diode signal for detecting bunches
- The number of signal peaks gives the number of bunches
- The derivative peaks at the signal front
- Use 3-point parabola to find the peak time
- Need to include cross-checks on the number of peaks detected for the signal and its derivative
- Bunch 1, Cband, 4 ps RMS jitter:
- Bunch 2, Cband, 2 ps RMS jitter:
- Bunch 1, Sband, 7 ps RMS jitter:
- Bunch 2, Sband, 6 ps RMS jitter:
- Bunch 2 vs. bunch 1, Cband, 5 ps RMS jitter:
- Bunch 2 vs. bunch 1, Sband, 10 ps RMS jitter:
Signal arrival time detection
- Signals do not seem to follow the trigger
- This can be seen in the rectified amplitudes
- This is seen for all signals, and the jitter seems to be independent
- Relative jitter does not depend on the bandwidth of the smoothing filter
