Beam arrival time detection

  • Using diode signal for detecting bunches
  • The number of signal peaks gives the number of bunches
  • The derivative peaks at the signal front
  • Use 3-point parabola to find the peak time
  • Need to include cross-checks on the number of peaks detected for the signal and its derivative

Signal arrival time detection

  • Signals do not seem to follow the trigger

  • Relative jitter does not depend on the bandwidth of the smoothing filter
