20Hz Laser Periscope and transport to tunnel

This section describes the laser beam-path from the tunnel to the breadboard.

Immediately after the safety shutter there is a periscope to launch the beam down the tube to the tunnel. At either end of the tube is a motor-controlled mirror, each with two motors. The motor drivers are located in the OWIS sub-rack in the 21U rack in the laser hut. The direction of the beam is adjusted by the motors and the effect can be viewed using the two cameras on charts #1 and #2. The motors and its direction has the following effect on the beam position viewed on the charts (see also Elog entry #88):
