Invisibles13 Summer School - Durham

Last week, Richard Eggleston and myself attended the Invisibles13 summer school. This summer school, held in the beautiful city of Durham between the 10th and 15th of July, was mainly focused on dark matter and neutrino physics. This gave us a great opportunity to learn different aspects of the theory that motivates dark matter physics, as well as learning in more details about different experiments in the field (for both direct and indirect detection).

The school offered a great set of lectures like : LHC physics, Cosmology, Dark Matter theory, Neutrino physics, Dark Matter direct detection experiments, Dark Matter indirect detection experiments, Statistical data analysis, Dark Matter simulations, and low energy particles in noble liquids.

It was also great to interact and exchange ideas with other graduate students attending the schools, coming from different countries such as : US, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, India, Brazil, and Sweden. Durham was also very nice, The cathedral is a must see landmark of the city. This was a great, and fun, experience and I highly recommend future students to attend next year invisibles14 summer school (which will be held in Paris).
