John Adams Institute
The John Adams Institute for Accelerator Science is a joint venture between the Physics department at Royal Holloway and the Nuclear and Particle Physics sub-department at the University of Oxford. The main John Adams Institute webpage can be found

. The group is involved in many aspects of accelerator science, we develop novel electron accelerator diagnostics, such as laser-wire transverse emittance measurement devices, resonant cavity beam position monitors and beam generated radiation monitoring. We are also involved with various studies devoted to the realisation of a high energy linear collider, including the International Linear Collider (
ILC
) and also the Compact Linear Collider (
CLIC
). We are also developing state of the art codes to simulate beam losses in high energy accelerators (
Simulation) and will apply these to
LHC and possible
LHC upgrades. To see more detail on current activities take a look at the JAI Twiki web
