  • Find the convolution of two function to fit to the spectral line
    • Find the convolution of a box plot and a Gaussian
    • will have two width parameters
    • This characterises the instrumental line width
    • Also find the projection of a uniformly illuminated disk (numerically)
  • Find the $\chi ^2$ from the least squares fit
  • Fit a hyperbola not a parabola for the sigma of spectral line agaisnt focus distance plot.
  • Fit a sin function to the sigma of spectral line against angle plot.
  • Check the errors within the plot
 \begin{equation} \chi2 = \sum \frac{(x_i - \mu)^2}{\sigma^2} \end{equation}
