Additional Data Taking

  • Previously, plotted $\sigma_{\sigma}$ against exposure time for one spectral line from the Helium lamp
  • Noticed this plot was not smooth, and $\sigma_{\sigma}$ fluctuated quite significantly for different exposure time
  • To try and smooth out this plot, we are taking 10 frames at each exposure time and finding the average error, rather than just analysing the one.
  • Using the Helium lamp, with micrometer set at 4.0mm.
  • Starting at 0.05s exposure time, increasing in 0.05s increments, finishing at 1s.
