Data Taking with Other Lamps
  • Camera Setup
    • camera temp = 5 deg
    • Focus distance = 19.9mm
    • Camera Angle = 4.6mm
  • Low Mercury
    • Exposure 0.2s
    • Micrometer position 0-12mm in 0.5mm intervals
    • Changed exposure to 0.3s
    • Towards edges of the frames, the spectral lines appeared to be a little out of focus in comparison to the centre.
  • Helium
    • Exposure = 0.3s
    • Micrometer position 0-12mm at 0.5mm intervals
  • High Mercury
    • Exposure = 0.001s (small as possible)
    • Increased distance of lamp from optical fibre as images satuated
    • Some lines still saturated
    • Micrometer position 0-12mm at 0.5mm intervals
  • Cadmium
    • Exposure = 0.5s
    • frames taken at 0.5mm intervals between 0 and 12mm.
