Using Maxim DL;
- Camera control -> setup -> connect
- Cooler -> set point -> 15 deg
Alignment star Castor (alpha Gemini);
- RA 7h 35m 30s
- Dec +31 deg 51' 21'
- GST =4h 39m 04.2s
- h (from Stellarium) = 21h 03m 30s
- Expose -> 0.2s -> start
1st image Castor;
- 4x4 binning
- Take subframe
Telescope remote;
- Focus- up/down moves camera in/out
- Object -> star -> named -> Castor (press enter)
- Press and hold enter 2s
Automatic Alignment with Jupiter;
- Blue filter, lowest exposure
Move to Atlas and Pleione, Pleiades;
- Take off filters (focus in filter drop down menu)
- Take images with various exposures (0.2s, 0.8s, 1s, 1.5s, 3s, 5s)
- Use graph tool to view whether there was saturation for each image. (horizontal line, ~60,000 saturation)
Move to NGC 1647
subframe around faint star and tried focus
switched off subframe and recorded entire cluster
took images with 1*1 binning and various exposure times, focus filter
took three dark frames with 30 seconds exposure times
took a light frame
took images with green, blue, red filter, exposure time 30 sec
adjusted exposure time (ratios: blue 1, green 1.3, red 1.6) and took images (1=150sec) red and green, cloudy for green;
weather changed
