Conditions: Clear - No cloud
Setup:
- Covers Removed
- Solar Filters Added to main scope and finder scope
- Camera Fitted to rear of scope
- Dome Opened
- open IC Capture
- Aligned the sun using shadow and finder scope
- Focused using the edge of the sun at the equator
- Used histogram to check for saturation at the centre of the Sun (below 130(ish)pixel value at 1/350s exposure, gain 263)
- Sequence timer with one second intervals for 450 frames
Data Taking:
- From edge of Sun moved away for 15secs at speed 3
- set tracking to terrestrial
- start taking frames
First set of data: Tree in way!
(index number not changed so started at 451)
- set of data taken with No Filter
Gain changed to 180 (lowest possible)
Second set of data:
- Green Filter - Exposure 1/50 s
- Blue Filter - Exposure 1/15 s
- Red Filter - Exposure 1/60 s
- No Filter - Exposure 1/350 s
Retake some data:
- Blue Filter - Exposure 1/12 s
- Green Filter - Exposure 1/45 s
- Red Filter - Exposure 1/55 s
- No Filter - Exposure 1/350 s
