• Went outside located a star with coordinates (Horizon System) estimate: A = 60, a= 60-70
• Checked on Stellarium star is probably Capella A = 75, a = 52
• Turned on cameras, took off lens covers etc.
• Set telescope declination 46 deg pm 1
• Found the LST, calculated the hour angle h=LST-a, 21:57:52 rotated telescope to the hour angle
• Minor adjustments needed due to time taken in calculated h - done by eye
• Focused on Capella, overly saturated, focused as much as possible
• Clouds briefly moved in, checked the weather outside, had moved by the time of the next step but not completely clear
• Moved Capella off the screen, focusing on far-field stars
• Took picture of field stars near Capella. Image taken with 1x1 binning at 1s.
