  • Updated code: Simulation_test9.py.txt
  • Found cause of position stretch in simulations - did not account for relative distance change in relation to declination angle. Only applies to right ascension.
  • Correction:
\begin{equation} \Delta \alpha _{corrected}=\Delta \alpha \cos{\delta } \end{equation} $\Delta \alpha _{corrected}$: Relative distance separation on focal sphere at declination $\delta$ \\ $\Delta \alpha$: Relative distance separation for $\delta = 0$.

  • Simulated Double Cluster, Dragonfly cluster, M103, with correction (all with: visual mag., sigma=3, rho=0.0001, max. peak value=40000 ADU, exposure time=60s).
  • Some paramaters:
