  • 143 MHz Meteor Scattering/Detection
  • 408 MHz
  • 1.42 GHz (Hydrogen Line)
    • New steerable dish and receiver packages:
There exists a 1.42 GHz steerable dish that has been lurking in the physics dept for almost twenty years, unused, purchased from an offshoot of the Haystack Observatory, MI. It is an old SRT (Small Radio Telescope) model, using an AlfaSpid mount and 2.3m dish. The feedhorn/receiver that came with it was reported by Leon to not work satisfactorily, but there are some instructions on building a new helical antenna and receiver based on the new SRT. Alternatively, a section of waveguide (WR-650) could be used with a λ/4 stub antenna.
