- New steerable dish and receiver packages:
- PrimaLuce Lab
: The Spider 300 and 500 are 3m and 5m dishes on computer controlled alt-az mounts with 1.42 GHz recievers. They are designed for all-weather use. GEB has requested prices and specs.... The Spider 230 dish (2.3m) has equatorial mounts and is not waterproof.

in the Netherlands sell useful receiver items including dishes, mounts...
There exists a 1.42 GHz steerable dish that has been lurking in the physics dept for almost twenty years, unused, purchased from an offshoot of the
Haystack
Observatory, MI. It is an
old SRT
(Small Radio Telescope) model, using an
AlfaSpid
mount and 2.3m
dish
. The feedhorn/receiver that came with it was reported by Leon to not work satisfactorily, but there are some instructions on building a new
helical antenna
and receiver based on the
new SRT
. Alternatively, a section of waveguide (WR-650) could be used with a λ/4 stub antenna.
